Valerie has accrued 46 years of experience within the health care delivery field, the last 30 of which have focused on the development, introduction and longitudinal support of comprehensive wound healing and hyperbaric medicine centers. Valerie is a widely regarded subject matter expert on a range of topics that include heath care regulatory standards, related compliance and practice requirements, and analysis of new products in the context of their respective clinical value, cost-containment and inventory control.

Her long-standing certification status as a medical billing specialist has extended her consulting expertise and guidance to coding conventions, claim filing, hospital consultation audit and practice oversight. Valerie's ongoing liaison with purchasers of health care serves to generate unique insights into evolving and pending CMS/Medicare rules, regulations and guidelines as they apply to the interrelated disciplines of comprehensive wound care and hyperbaric medicine. Her licensure, certifications and other qualifications provide a glimpse into the extent to which she has elevated and maintained her expertise and professional standing.

Valerie is a long-standing faculty member of the America Council for Continuing Medical Education/National Board of Diving & Hyperbaric Medical Society approved Primary Training in Hyperbaric Medicine training course. She previously served as a member of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society’s board of directors, is a current NBDHMT board member and chairs this organization’s hyperbaric facility accreditation committee.
