This program is designed for those who have previously undergone formal introductory training in hyperbaric medicine. It represents an authoritative 14-hour Zoom-based review and updating of clinical practice guidelines, operational safety, and compliance expectations in the current era.
Hyperbaric Medicine Review and Update is directed primarily at the hospital-affiliated outpatient setting. It is delivered over eight hours on Friday and completed early afternoon the following day.
Core content includes summaries of recent supportive literature (that serve to emphasize and promote evidence-based practice standards), identification of ongoing evidence shortcomings, reconciliation of conflicting/negative studies and areas of divided medical opinion, risk-benefit assessments, medically necessary and cost-effective dosing protocols, enhanced patient safety, and coding, claim filing and reimbursement compliance updates.
Hyperbaric Medicine Review and Update is taught by a cadre of highly regarded thought leaders, subject matter experts and experienced clinical trialists. Collectively, their advice and counsel are frequently sought by other providers, authoritative agencies and those who purchase health care for practice guidance, operational safety, and related policy development.
