Accreditation Statement

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) and National Baromedical Services. The UHMS is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. It is also accredited by National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology (for certification in hyperbaric technology).

Designation Statements

Physicians: The Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society designates this live activity for a maximum of 20 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Certified Hyperbaric Technologists: This course has been reviewed and approved by the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology as a basic hyperbaric medicine course. Twenty (20) hours of Category A credits have been awarded.

Registered Nurses: This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the South Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Approval valid through April 14, 2012.
