Physicians: 20 Category 1 CME credit hours - Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society, accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians Hyperbaric Technologists: 20 Category A hours - National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology Registered Nurses: This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the South Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Approval valid through April 14, 2012 Respiratory Therapists: This program has been approved for 20 contact hours Continuing Respiratory Care Education (CRCE) credit by the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC). Accreditation Statements This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) and National Baromedical Services. The UHMS is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. It is also accredited by National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology (for certification in hyperbaric technology and certification in hyperbaric nursing). Designation Statements Physicians: The UHMS designates this educational activity for a maximum of 20 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Certified Hyperbaric Technologists / Certified Hyperbaric Registered Nurses: This course has been reviewed and approved by the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology as a basic hyperbaric medicine course. Twenty (20) hours of Category A credits have been awarded. Respiratory Therapists: Application has been made to the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) for continuing education contact hours for respiratory therapists. |
